“I had always heard your entire Life flashes…
in front of your eyes
the second before you die.
First of all,
that one second…
isn’t a second at all.
It stretches on forever,
Like an ocean of time.” ~ Lester Burnham in Alan Ball’s American Beauty

Almost a Whisper documents my humble attempts at snapping photos of moments that passed in my life, and at other times, writing about them.
It enables me to share some of my compositions that would have otherwise been hidden away in my computer, desk drawers, or under the bed. It chronicles the progress, or lack thereof, of an amateur composer.
Why composer? Because God composes, so why shouldn’t we?
I started taking photos in late 2005, but began taking it professionally in 2007. I got into photography for how it enables me to see the world. It allows me to see things with a different perspective. Photography is one of the few things in life where I truly enjoy the journey more than the destination.
And me?

Well, despite the fact that I dislike displaying inordinate fascination with myself, I like to refer to myself as an optimist realist, very emotional, and aware of the dark side of human nature. I don’t live on the surface of life, but experience it at its deepest levels.
Humbled by nature’s beauty, and confused with life’s complicated simplicity, I hope to travel to as many places in this world as I can, capturing comedy and tragedy as my lens and I see it.
